How To Adopt A Greyhound

Make Sure a Greyhound is the Right Dog for You!

Greyhounds Are:

Dogs that need to be on a leash at all times outside the house for their protection
Companion animals, gentle and intelligent
Indoor pets for the most part, unless they are accompanied by their humans
In need of a coat in cool weather
Require vet check-ups twice a year
Generally love to go anywhere with their humans
Hypoallergenic
Non-barkers
Dogs that bond quickly with the new humans

Greyhounds Are Not:

To be off leash
NEVER use Retractable leashes on a Greyhound!! (Read why by clicking here)
Left outside alone for any length of time
Guard dogs
To be tied outside
